In order to be visible on Matchmaker, you have to manage your Modem/Router settings, so make this at your own risk and only if you are able to do.

Go to your Modem webpage (usually 192.168.1.1 otherwise check your IP gateway configuration) and log-on.
Every modem has different webpage tools and screens, but you should find the Port Mapping/Forwarding under Internet tab or something like this.
We need to create 3 new rules for Port Forwarding:

Protocol: TCP - Port: 34447
Protocol: UDP - Port: 34297
Protocol: UDP - Port: 34397

Once you have opened the ports, save all and then restart your modem.
Meanwhile, go on your rFactor folder and search rFactor\UserData\Your Name\Multiplayer.ini file and open it with Notepad.
Search and change the parametres of these 2 lines:
Announce Allowed="1" // servers should pass the firewall test before being allowed to list on the matchmaker
Announce Host="1" // whether servers will attempt to register with the matchmaking service

Save and close, then restart your rFactor (maybe it is better to restart the computer too) and try again to host a room.
If your friends can't see your room, go to this website: www.myipaddress.com and give them the IP address shown.
They'll have to try to add the room by clicking on the "+" blue button at the top of the MatchMaker page in rFactor Online section.

If not working again, I can suggest you to create a rule on your Firewall, but this is a really hazard.

Capita spesso che un utente lamenti che le stanze online da lui create non vengano "viste" dagli altri utenti.
Per rendere possibile questa cosa bisogna saper aprire delle Porte sul modem. Una procedura che può essere rischiosa quindi fatela solo se ne siete sicuri.

Fate login alla pagina del vostro modem, solitamente 192.168.1.1
Cercate (nella sezione Internet di solito) la parte relativa al Port Mapping o Forwarding.
Dovete creare 3 nuove regole:

TCP 34447 = Sessione Gara e Informazione Chat (necessario per opitare gare in Lan e internet)
UDP 34297 = Informazione e interrogazione Lan (necessario per opitare gare in Lan)
UDP 34397 = Informazione evento gara (necessario per ospitare gare in Lan e Internet)

Fatto ciò, salvate e riavviate il modem. Nel frattempo andate in rFactor\UserData\vostro nome\Multiplayer.ini aprendolo con Blocco Note e modificate queste due linee:
Announce Allowed="1" // servers should pass the firewall test before being allowed to list on the matchmaker
Announce Host="1" // whether servers will attempt to register with the matchmaking service

Fatto tutto, vi consiglio di riavviare anche il pc, e di riprovare.
Se i vostri amici ancora non vedono la vostra stanza, andate sul sito: www.myipaddress.com e date ai vostri amici l'indirizzo che vi viene mostrato. A questo punto loro in rFactor nella sezione online di ricerca delle stanze, dovranno cliccare sul pulsante "+" blu in alto, ed inserire il vostro indirizzo.
