Prima di qualsiasi commento ai risultati, bisogna mettere nero su bianco ciò che è successo stasera, a futura memoria, ma soprattutto a giustificazione delle azioni pesanti che sono state intraprese da me, in qualità di amministratore del server P4OW, e di altre azioni che ancora mi riservo di valutare.
Il destinatario delle accuse che sto per muovere si chiama Dimitris Giannopoulos, "pilota" greco, che ha corso molte gare con noi in passato, e che fino alla settimana scorsa reputavo essere un giocatore validissimo, corretto, e persino simpatico. Ma come diceva una signora che conoscevo "Devi mangiare un KG di sale con una persona, prima di poterla conoscere davvero". Quanto aveva ragione.
Preambolo:
Durante il torneo TC-GT2020, ci sono state alcune polemiche fra il suddetto Dimitris e uno dei nostri piloti di lunga data, Michele Molara. Al netto del fatto che ogni incidente (se accompagnato da opportuno reclamo) è stato prontamente valutato, con la stessa serietà e metro di giudizio per tutti, ricordiamo sempre che si tratta di Simracing, peraltro in formato "amatoriale" e che niente può scatenare ciò che è successo successivamente.
In questa condizione, i due piloti si sono ritrovati in pista solo Giovedì 18/02/2021, e senza nessun motivo, il risultato è stato questo:
Primo giro della gara, sia Molara che Giannopoulos si attardano subito causa incidenti (distinti). Passano poche centinaia di metri e Dimitris decide di "vendicarsi" insistentemente contro Molara. Non ci sono altre motivazioni recenti, se il motivo fosse altro io non ne sarei a conoscenza, e lo stesso Molara ha espresso di non saperne nulla. Dopo averlo ripetutamente ostacolato (anche viaggiando a 40kmh), la ciliegina sulla torta è il "tamponamento a marcia indietro" effettuato da Dimitris pochi metri dopo la linea del traguardo.
Per tutto ciò che è visibile in questo video, Dimitris ha ricevuto un ban perpetuo dal server, in quanto del tutto non in linea con gli standard di Fair Play richiesti su questo forum.
Inoltre, ma essendo una conversazione privata non pubblicherò qui gli screen, mi ha anche accusato di essere causa del mio stesso male, in quanto ho creato una lega-farsa con regolamenti e circuiti senza senso.
Anche se questo fosse vero (riconosco di non essere il miglior Admin del Mondo), chi decide di correre con noi dovrebbe farlo dopo aver letto e accettato il regolamento. Quindi la polemica è fuori luogo e volta solo a spostare l'attenzione.
Dopo aver chiuso (o almeno così pensavo) la questione con il suddetto, questa sera è arrivata la doccia fredda.

Durante il round n.4 di Laguna Seca (BSTC Cup 2021), il server è stato tempestato da un utente che, entrato come spettatore, e spacciandosi per altri utenti (tra i quali ricordiamo Luka Lukic, Bence Valdinger, Pauwe, tutti assolutamente ignari e non responsabili dell'accaduto), ha iniziato a chattare continuamente frasi o parole senza senso. Inoltre ha usato una tattica molto fastidiosa, quella di sedersi in auto con vari piloti (come si fa per la procedura di Cambio Pilota) per poi lasciare immediatamente il posto, causando un paio di frasi già precompilate di rFactor.
Ovviamente tutto ciò ha causato un sacco di problemi, di distrazione, di lag e di fastidio generale.
Non accontentandosi di ciò, è passato alle offese e alle volgarità verso il sottoscritto che, per quanto non mi abbiano toccato particolarmente, hanno di fatto messo fine alla serata visto che non c'era più il giusto ambiente per giocare.

Se per l'evento del 18/02 non ci sono sicuramente dubbi, non posso ovviamente accertare chi sia stato stasera a fare questo danno, anche se non credo di avere nemici nel Mondo SimRacing, e sarei davvero sorpreso se non fosse stato Dimitris, o qualcuno per suo conto.
Detto questo, ho passato tutto il materiale a tutti gli Admin dei portali "amici" mettendoli in guardia sul personaggio. Ho peraltro riscontrato entusiasticamente che molti utenti/moderatori erano già a conoscenza di quanto accaduto la settimana scorsa, segno che, se uno si vuole sputtanare, ci vuole davvero poco per farlo e per farsi "riconoscere" da parecchia gente.
In conclusione ho ritenuto necessario annullare Gara 3, che non sarà recuperata, ed effettuerò modifiche per far sì che sia molto più difficile fare una coglionata del genere.

[ENGLISH VERSION]
Before commenting about the event’s results, let’s be clear about what happened tonight, as a warning for the future but above all as a reason for the actions taken recently by me as an administrator of the P4OW server and for further actions that may be taken.
The recipient of the accusations i’m about to make is Dimitris Giannopoulos, a Greek “simracer” who had many races with us and which until last week I considered a valid, fair and even likeable player. But, as a lady i knew used to say, “you have to eat a kilogram of salt with somebody before really know them” – how she was right.
Preamble:
During our TC-GT2020 championship there’s been some animosity between the mentioned Dimitris and Michele Molara, one of our longtime racers. Being said that every single incident between the two has been noted and (when followed by a complaint) analyzed like with everyone else’s, let’s remember we’re talking about simracing, even more so at an amateurish level, and that there’s no justification for what followed.
With this premise, the next time the two crossed their paths on track was Thursday 18/02/2021, and without any reason the result was this:
First lap of the race, both Molara and Giannopoulos get involved in incidents unrelated one another. Not more than a few meters later Dimitris decides to insistently take his “revenge” on Molara. There are no other possible reasons behind it, not that I know, and Molara himself had no clue about them. After repeatedly impeding Molara, the icing on the cake was the reversing into him on the straight just after the finish line.
Because of all you can see in the video Dimitris received a permanent ban from the server, as his actions are not up to the fair play standards requested on this forum.
Furthermore, in a subsequent conversation that as private won’t be shown here, he accused me to be guilty of having brought all this on myself for creating a farce of a league with nonsensical rules and race tracks.
Now, regardless of these accusations, whoever decides to race with us should do it after reading and accepting our rules and always respect them, so all his arguments have no reason to be and they’re only aimed to shifting the focus of the matter.
Then, after moving forward about this issue (or this is what I thought), out of nowhere came what happened tonight.
During our 2021 BSTC Cup 4th round at Laguna Seca, our server was attacked by some user who, getting in as a spectator and posing as other users (such as Luka Lukic, Bence Valdinger, Pauwe, all completely unaware of what was happening and with no relation to it), he kept spamming random words and gibberish in the chat. Moreover, in a really annoying way, he kept joining people on track using the driver swapping function, causing rFactor to show the pre-built chat message to the drivers involved.
All this obviously caused a lot of trouble distracting players, contributing to lag and annoying everyone in general.
Not yet satisfied with his job, he started typing insults and obscenities directed to me, which as far as they didn’t get to me they effectively ruined everyone’s mood thus letting the event to a premature end.

Now, given there’s no doubt about February 18th’s events, I can’t be sure about the identity of tonight’s perpetrator, but since I don’t think I made enemies in the simracing world, I’d be surprised if the one behind this wasn't either Dimitris or someone for him.
That said, I shared the details with admins of other leagues warning them about the guy, indeed happily finding out that several users and admins were already aware about what happened last week, showing that if someone really wants to ruin their own reputation news travel fast and that takes little to let everyone knew about your actions.
In conclusion, I decided that it was best to cancel Race 3 (which won’t be resumed), and that I’ll take steps to make sure bullshit like this won’t easily happen again.

Mah, tralasciando la chiusura anticipata, penso sia stato la migliore serie di gare dall'inizio del campionato, in termini di risultati.
Avevo un pizzico in più rispetto alla concorrenza degli scorsi appuntamenti ed ho cercato di sfruttarlo. Se nella prima comunque ho faticato un po' all'inizio (trovandomi sempre nei trambusti, ma vedo che c'è qualcuno a cui è andata peggio), poi mi sono ripreso lentamente, concludendo tranquillo. Devo chiedere scusa a Bart per la toccata (e l'ho aspettato), ma ci potevo fare poco.
Anche nella seconda ho preso mazzate di tutti i tipi, è stata maggior parte attacco contro Tarik per la testa, che poi si è tramutata in difesa contro Dragan, Marco e Juan. Erano troppo veloci per me, ma va bene così.
L'ultima non era partita bene, mi sa che non sarebbe finita diversamente.. -

Finally a somewhat clean race series. In race 1 I'm sorry to Can for going too deep into Andretti harpin and spining him out. After that i've got the bad end of the stick after racing incident in corkscrew which sent me to 9th position. Then in race 2 I've finally utilized good starting position and went to lead arround half of the race until I went wide in kink before corkscrew and fell down to 5th place. 7 points overall isn't that bad but it could've been more without those incidents. Only negative thing is in formation laps. Maybe it's track characteristics but we were bunched up meaning if someone overshootes the corner, others are screwed. It was fun last night on normal track and I hope it will be simillar in Autopolis next week. . -

Bella seratina interessante ieri 😂 A parte gli scherzi io gara 2 buttata, alla prima connection lost e l'ultima poi non ho capito cosa era successo. Non so come settare la vettura la trazione anteriore sembra più facile e allo stesso tempo più difficile
